Haven't been going through much lately. Just working math problems from JC past papers, eating pringles while doing so, listening to some new mixes I've download and occasionally playing a racing game to vent off the stress.

Today I practically spent the day inside. I only had 2 lectures at JC, one at 8 in the morning, which was English and another lesson at 1pm which is Philosophy. I had the intention of going only for the English lecture, since, first of all, I like the subject, second, I always learn something new, whether it has to with English or something else (i.e. general knowledge). Philosophy on the other hand is awful. Well, the subject is interesting (whole lot better than Religion!) but the way the teacher presents the lesson, in my opinion, sucks and the only way to avoid a breakdown is to sit at the back and load up tetris on my mobile phone.

So anyway, I woke up early since the English lecture starts at eight.. After maneuvering through a lot of side streets and roads more suitable for off-road vehicles, we managed to avoid the morning traffic. I met a couple of people near the entrance so we talked for a while, then, when the time was up, we proceeded to go to our lecture room. It's like going to heaven with all the stairs.. Anyway, once settled and waiting for our lecturer to arrive, a random guy entered the room announcing that the lecture was canceled. You can imagine the swearing, since of course, everyone could have slept another extra hour (or more if you have frees after the lesson). Heh, but what can you do? Screw it, ay?

So basically, it was time to head back home again.. I walked towards the bus stop and waited for like 15 minutes or so.. At least there was someone I knew with whom I could exchange a couple of words. It was kinda funny, I never caught a bus from Msida back home so early in the morning.. There was only 5 or so people on the bus, and the roads where totally clear (on our side only, because the other side is a nightmare.. everyone scrambling to go the the southern/east part of the island). What's even funnier is that with the roads clear and with the bus nearly empty, it still took me half an hour to arrive home.. whilst with a car, it took me 10 minutes to go to JC, in the chaotic traffic.

Mentioning traffic/driving.. While I was waiting for my friend to pick me up this morning I could notice the driving nightmare I'd have to go through every morning.. There's so many cars on the road, and most of the cars didn't have any passengers except for the driver. And two of the highlights I saw this morning.. The average Joe with riding his horse.. at friggin 7.30am. WTF? As if there ain't enough traffic. And, a chick in a Suzuki Maruti checking out her nails and looking in the mirror to see whether she's looking attractive or not. Whilst tens of cars are honking behind her to get moving. Some things always seem to amaze me.

Meanwhile, I'm still listening to this mix which, if you're interested, you can download for free (legally). This is what keeps me sane during such periods, two weeks before exams commence.. At least, as a payoff, I know there's 3 months of fun waiting for me after the exams!

Gotta leave now, I need some sleep.

PS: Stipends (II) still on my mind.

Mhmm good website!

I always notice that Maltese call JC lessons 'lectures' and it makes us Gozitans laugh.. we still call them lessons.

Nice highlights! Some people like that girl keeping the traffic waiting think that the world revolves around them :) My highlights this morning were 11 and 12-year-olds discussing the Eurovision... Uhh.

Early good luck for the exams.. I start in 2 weeks as well.
Hi Marie Claire! :) Thanks for your comment!

About the lecture/lessons thing.. well it depends mostly.. if the teacher interacts with us in a "friend" type of way, we usually call them lessons.. but if the lesson is more kinda "listen to the master" type of thing, we call them lectures.

Eurovision.. very interesting! :P If it wasn't for Tony Sant's blog, I wouldn't have known it's going on.

Thanks for the goodluck, same goes to you ;)
Good Luck for your exams! :)
thanks Krystle :) You too! ;)
