Politics

posted on March 7th, 2008

I have neglected to talk about politics as opposed to most of the other Maltese blogs in the recent weeks.. I didn't blog about politics not because I'm not interested about politics or because I don't give a damn.. It's just that I haven't had the time to write something about politics, and with most of the Maltese blogs talking about it in almost all of the posts, I didn't see why I should blog about it too.

Especially when I felt that I had enough of politics and decide not to read any more blog feeds that had to do politics.. I mean, after a day at school discussing politics (or getting trashed because most of my friends share totally opposite political views), I won't feel like reading, once again, about politics. I think there's more to life than politics.. Yes politics is important because after all, our daily life will depend on it.

I did listen to discussions and presentations by political persons.. I believe there's a lot to learn from these people in the way they talk in public and in the way they act. Sometimes I'm amazed by such people, because when I picture myself being instead of the particular political person, I'm sure I would have screwed up.

Today was supposed to be a day of reflection.. well there was a reduction of the propaganda but still, the only thing to talk about, right now, is politics. Tomorrow we'll be back in full swing.. with media coverage 24/7 about the latest updates.

Nispera li ma nispiccax naqla il-lumi, when I get back to school next week! :P

quite unusual as the maltese parlamentary elections were at the same time as in Spain...
I totally understand. I also preferred not to talk about politics that much in my blog which is most of all an expats' blog and more like on the personal side rather than a political one. I had enough of the dirty campaign and anyway, there were some interesting points of view out there especially in Andre's blog or Red's too but I preferred just to read and comment :)

Have a great week!
hehe hi there! right now there's a lot of elections taking place.. the ones I know about are Malta, Spain, USA and Serbia.

hi wen! I followed the electoral campaign, it was quiet pleasant to see the main parties battle it out, however I was getting fed up during the last few days.. every single news article I read has to be about politics, most of the blogs were about politics too and the ppl out there were obviously talking about politics. Anyway, the election hype is fading away now, so hopefully we won't have to go through the same thing until 2013.

thanks for your comments :)
Hi, hope you are doing fine. I read about the explosions in Naxxar...
hi wen, we're ok over here.. I meant to blog about it.. I'll probably do later on. Thanks for your concerns! :)
