Today I spent most of my day at Ghajn Tuffieha with a friend of mine. Although I used to go there when I was a kid (7-11 years old I guess), I haven't been there in a really long while. In fact I didn't even know about the new restaurant / snack bar, which by the way, has excellent pizzas!
In short, it's my favourite new beach in Malta. Ghadira Bay is a far cry compared to Ghajn Tuffieha. Less people, less parents with kids screaming around tossing sand, better atmosphere (as you can probably guess from the picture), no main roads near by like the one at Ghadira Bay.. And it makes you forget we're in a workaholic world. Just hang in there and relax. Oh, and let's not even talk about the eye candy. This great post may help you understand what you're in for.
However there's two main downsides.. you have to go through a trillion steps to reach the actual beach.. it's not a problem when you arrive.. but it becomes a problem when you're going back home. Especially after spending a whole day there. The other is not much of a downside really but the beach's setting is, well, kinda more suited for couples. Dunno why I get that sensation, but if you happen to go there, you'll probably notice that too.
